When Your Gold Kitchen Project Stalls: Get the Right Question to the Right Person

September 12, 20264 min read

A kitchen project brings together design, pricing, products and people. When one part stalls, you deserve a clear way to ask for help. Start with the question that needs an answer, then bring the relevant details to the HIBC team. Whether you need a revised drawing or help understanding the next step, a short project summary makes the conversation easier.

Use the checklist below to organize your concern, contact support and ask for Tom’s personal help when you would find it useful.

Identify where progress stopped

Choose the closest description:

  • Design: a drawing, revision, sample decision or appliance detail remains unresolved.
  • Pricing: an itemized quote, accessory price, delivery amount or explanation is missing.
  • Coordination: the right contact, appointment confirmation or next responsibility is unclear.
  • An existing order: a product, delivery or installation issue needs attention under the relevant agreement.
  • Membership fit: you are dissatisfied, considering cancellation or requesting a refund.

If more than one issue applies, give each a short heading. You can ask for help with the project and raise a membership concern in the same message; make each request clear.

Send a concise project summary

Email [email protected]. A useful subject is “Gold project help — [your last name] — [main issue].”

Include your enrollment name, project ZIP code, the best way to contact you and the dates of the relevant conversations. Add the latest drawing or quote when it helps explain the issue. Avoid sending payment-card details or unrelated personal records.

Then state three things plainly: what you are waiting for, what has already been agreed and what decision is being delayed. If a date affects your project, explain why. Ask the relevant contact to confirm what timing is workable.

Match the question to the responsibility

Independent showroom designers provide design and pricing, and HIBC helps coordinate the conversation. For a proposed visit, confirm the location, time and appointment details before travelling.

Installers and other construction professionals are independently contracted. Questions about their work, site conditions or installation scope belong with the responsible professional and agreement. Let HIBC know if a product decision depends on that answer, so the team can understand how the questions connect.

For an order problem, identify the order and disputed detail. Ask which party handles the issue and what documentation is needed. Product returns and refunds depend on the terms of the relevant order.

Ask for personal help when needed

If the ordinary project conversation has not resolved your concern, say that you would like Tom’s personal help. Explain the outcome you are seeking: a clarified quote, a confirmed next step, a discussion of fit or a membership decision.

Ask for a written summary of what remains open and who is expected to handle it. If you follow up, use the existing email conversation where practical so the relevant context remains together.

If the issue changes, update the same summary. For example, distinguish a missing quote from a quote you have received but need explained. That small detail helps keep the conversation focused on the help you need now.

Keep refund requests explicit and timely

Gold’s initial $4,995 membership includes the first year. The initial fee is refundable when you are dissatisfied, request a refund within 30 days and have placed no orders.

You may submit that refund request without waiting for a retention conversation, a showroom reply or Tom’s availability. State that you are requesting a refund, include your enrollment date and explain whether any orders have been placed. Keep a copy of what you send.

Keep the 30-day window in view while discussing the project; asking for help does not extend it. Renewal and product purchases have their own terms, which should be reviewed separately.
