Your First 30 Days With HIBC Gold: Turn Kitchen Ideas Into a Clear Project Plan

September 12, 20264 min read

Welcome to Gold. Your first month is a good time to turn inspiration into a project brief, organize your design conversations and understand the complete proposal. Start with the kitchen you want and build a clear path toward it. Use this flexible planning sequence with your team, confirming timing around your project’s needs.

Gold’s initial $4,995 membership includes the first year. It is separate from product, delivery and installation costs. Keep your enrollment record and the terms you accepted with the rest of your project documents.

Start with a personal project connection

Ask HIBC to confirm your membership details, project contact and next step. If you have already requested design help, share that conversation so your project can pick up from the information you have prepared.

Email [email protected] with your enrollment name, project ZIP code, rooms in scope and preferred contact method. Do not email payment-card details.

Ask which information is still needed, who will coordinate your next conversation and how to confirm any proposed showroom visit. Independent showroom designers handle design and pricing; installation is separately contracted.

Build one project brief

Put the essentials in one organized packet:

  • Photographs of every kitchen wall, adjoining spaces and delivery access.
  • A rough sketch showing doors, windows, ceiling height and appliance positions.
  • Appliance model numbers and manufacturer specifications, where selected.
  • Your priorities, including storage problems, cooking habits and desired changes.
  • Your approximate timing and overall investment range.
  • Any existing itemized proposal, layout and relevant exclusions.

Label preliminary dimensions as unverified. Agree who will take or check final site measurements before an order is approved. A clear brief gives your designer a strong starting point and helps make the measurement conversation more productive.

Work through decisions in sequence

Begin with the cabinet door profile, then discuss compatible species and finish choices within the proposed line. Compare real samples with countertop and flooring selections when available. Confirm the exact combinations rather than assuming every finish works with every door.

Next, provide appliance specifications before finalizing openings and panel requirements. Then refine the cabinet layout around everyday tasks: unloading groceries, preparing meals, reaching storage and opening the dishwasher.

For a full remodel, maintain a separate list of decisions affecting trades, permits and construction sequencing. Keep your designer’s product proposal and your independently contracted installation scope together so you can see how the work fits.

Turn the proposal into a decision document

When pricing arrives, check the cabinet schedule, accessories, panels, hardware, delivery terms and exclusions. Write down anything that remains an allowance or an unanswered question.

HIBC adds no product markup. For your complete comparison, add membership, freight, applicable charges, installation and other project costs to the product quote. This gives you a useful view of both the buying opportunity and the work surrounding it.

Approve an order when the specifications, responsibilities and terms are settled—not simply because a target date is approaching.

Check the fit while your choices remain open

The initial membership fee is refundable if you are dissatisfied, request the refund within 30 days and have placed no orders. Take the time to make a considered buying decision, while keeping the refund window in view. If you are considering a refund, communicate that request directly instead of waiting for an appointment or an unresolved quote.

You can request Tom’s personal help and submit a refund request at the same time. You do not need to wait for a conversation about continuing membership to submit the request. Product and renewal terms are separate.

Finish the month with a written next step

Summarize what is settled, what remains open and who will handle each outstanding question. If coordination has stalled, send that summary to support and ask for help identifying the next action.

Not yet a member? Request free kitchen design and a quote first. You do not have to purchase Gold simply to begin the conversation.
