Gold Cancellation, Refunds and Optional Renewal: Know the Difference
Your plans may change, or you may decide Gold is no longer the right fit. You can contact HIBC directly for personal help, cancellation or a refund request. Start by telling us which outcome you want. Cancelling membership, requesting an initial-fee refund and choosing not to renew are separate decisions.
This guide explains the Gold membership offer and the information to include in your request. Keep the membership terms accepted at checkout and your enrollment record available when discussing your situation.
Renewal is your choice
Initial Gold membership costs $4,995 and includes the first year. A later annual renewal is optional at $495 and is purchased separately. There is no automatic subscription or annual charge.
Choose a renewal only if continued membership fits your plans. If you are unsure of your membership dates or which optional payment applies to your account, ask support to clarify before purchasing.
Choosing not to renew is separate from requesting a refund of your initial enrollment. It also does not itself cancel an existing product order or an independently contracted service.
Understand the initial membership refund
The initial membership fee is refundable when all three conditions are met:
- You are dissatisfied.
- You request the refund within 30 days of initial enrollment.
- You have placed no orders.
The no-orders condition applies when an order is placed, rather than when products arrive or installation begins. Review the decision before ordering if you are still considering whether membership fits.
If you are considering a refund, communicate the request within the stated window. A pending design revision, support exchange or planned meeting does not itself extend that period. Do not wait for an unresolved project question to be answered before making your request.
How to submit a clear request
Email [email protected]. Use a direct subject such as “Gold initial membership refund request” or “Gold cancellation request.”
Include your enrollment name, enrollment date, the email associated with membership and whether any orders have been placed. State the action you are requesting and briefly explain your concern. A receipt reference may help identify the purchase; do not send payment-card details.
Keep a copy of your request and ask for written confirmation of its receipt, the next step and the outcome. Use the same email conversation for follow-up so your details stay together.
Ask for Tom’s personal help if you would like it
You may ask for Tom’s personal help with a concern, an unresolved project or a discussion about continuing membership. That conversation may be useful if you want help evaluating your options.
You can submit a refund request without waiting for a retention meeting, a phone call or Tom’s availability. You may request both personal assistance and a refund in the same message; make both requests explicit.
You remain free to decide whether continuing membership is right for you. If you choose to discuss an alternative arrangement, ask for its details in writing so you can consider it clearly.
Renewal and product purchases are separate
A later renewal is a separate purchase with its own terms. Review those terms before paying; the initial enrollment refund conditions do not automatically apply.
Likewise, a membership cancellation or refund does not guarantee cancellation, return or refund of products. An order may involve its own approval, production, delivery and return conditions. Independently contracted installation and other work have their own agreements.
If a product or service issue is part of your concern, identify it separately and ask which party and terms govern that issue. A clear list helps each question reach the person responsible for answering it.
Before you join
You can request free kitchen design and a quote before purchasing membership. Use that opportunity to clarify scope, expected responsibilities and the complete cost comparison.
Gold should be an informed buying choice. Ask questions before enrolling, keep your records and communicate a cancellation or refund request directly when that is the outcome you want.
