Three Kitchen Cabinet Price Comparisons: What Members Reported Saving
Three separate kitchens. Three separate members. A meaningful reason to compare your cabinet quote before you order. HIBC’s owner provided the following product-price examples from member projects. They illustrate reported price differences; they are not offers for your kitchen or a promise of the same results.
The reported product prices
Separate kitchen | Comparison price | Member product price | Product-price difference | Difference as a share of comparison price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Home Depot comparison | $17,521 | $8,865 | $8,656 | 49.4% |
Lowe’s comparison | $14,881 | $8,150 | $6,731 | 45.2% |
Local high-end kitchen company comparison | $26,778 | $12,935 | $13,843 | 51.7% |
Source: HIBC owner-reported examples supplied September 2026. These are three different projects, not three bids on the same kitchen. Underlying quotes, dates, brands, specifications and included services are not reproduced here, and the examples have not been independently audited. The percentages describe the arithmetic difference between the supplied figures; they do not establish like-for-like product equivalence or typical savings.
Product savings and net savings are different
HIBC earns its fee through membership and adds no HIBC product markup. That membership fee belongs in your complete comparison. Gold costs $4,995 for the first year, then $495 annually beginning Year 2. Products, installation and other project costs are separate.
If a new first-year Gold membership were allocated entirely to each example, the reported differences after that $4,995 fee would be $3,661, $1,736 and $8,848 respectively, before any other differing charges. This is an illustration of fee-inclusive arithmetic, not a statement of which membership those homeowners purchased or their final project savings. Taxes, freight, installation and scope differences can change the outcome.
Bring the quote, not just the headline number
Your next step is to compare the actual cabinet package you want. Ask each provider to work from the same layout and identify the cabinet quantities, sizes, door style, material description, finish and hardware. Check exposed panels, trim and storage accessories so that a lower price does not simply omit something you expect to receive.
List design, measurement, delivery, unloading and installation responsibilities. Mark exclusions and allowances clearly. Request current written product and service terms. A product-only proposal and a fully installed package need additional work before their totals can be compared fairly.
See whether membership makes sense for your kitchen
Independent showroom partners provide design and pricing. HIBC helps coordinate the product and supplier conversation and supports members with confidential wholesale pricing verification. You can evaluate the complete proposal against your priorities: price, selection, design, service and the finished result.
Gold offers a full initial membership refund within 30 days of joining if you are dissatisfied and have placed no orders. Use that window to evaluate the fit before ordering. It is a membership refund policy—not a guarantee of a particular product-price reduction or a product-return policy.
