Warranties

Last Updated: [01/01/2025]

  • Home Improvement Buying Club works with a wide range of manufacturers, distributors and vendor partners. Each product category you purchase through your membership comes with its own manufacturer warranty. This page explains how warranties work when purchasing through Home Improvement Buying Club and what responsibilities belong to the manufacturer, contractor or homeowner.

  • 1. Manufacturer Warranties

All products including flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, appliances, windows and other materials come with the standard warranty offered by the manufacturer of that product.

    Manufacturer warranties generally cover

  • product defects

  • production flaws

  • material failures within the stated warranty period

These warranties vary by brand, category and model. Warranty terms may include conditions, exclusions, required maintenance and documentation. Because warranties are issued by manufacturers, not by Home Improvement Buying Club, they must be followed exactly as written by the manufacturer.

  • You should review the warranty information provided by the manufacturer before purchasing.

  • 2. What Home Improvement Buying Club Does Not Warranty

  • Home Improvement Buying Club does not warranty

  • installation work performed by contractors or installers

  • measurement errors or project planning completed by homeowners or third parties

  • damage caused by improper installation

  • wear and tear, misuse, water damage or maintenance related issues

  • design decisions or structural recommendations made by contractors or designers

  • We are a buying club, not a contractor or installer, and we do not perform construction or replacement work. All installation related warranties come from your chosen contractor or installer.

  • 3. Installer and Contractor Warranties

  • If you hire a contractor, designer or installer for your project, their workmanship warranty is separate from the manufacturer warranty.

    Installer warranties typically cover

  • installation quality

  • workmanship

  • labor related defects

  • issues directly caused by improper installation

  • Home Improvement Buying Club does not manage or oversee installer warranties. Any workmanship concerns should be directed to the contractor or installer who performed the work.

  • 4. Receiving and Inspecting Products

  • When products arrive, you are responsible for inspecting all materials before installation. This includes reviewing

  • product quantities

  • finishes and colors

  • measurements

  • visible damage

  • consistency across batches or lots

  • freight or shipping issues

  • If something appears incorrect, damaged or defective before installation, contact us or the vendor immediately. Once a product is installed, manufacturer warranty coverage may be limited.

  • 5. Filing a Warranty Claim

  • If you believe your material has a manufacturer defect, you may file a warranty claim. The claim process generally requires

  • proof of purchase

  • photos and documentation of the issue

  • a written description of the problem

  • the product brand, style, model and batch number

  • compliance with installation and maintenance guidelines

  • Many manufacturers require an inspection before approving warranty coverage. Decisions are made solely by the manufacturer.

  • Home Improvement Buying Club can help provide documentation or connect you with the correct warranty department, but we do not approve or deny any claims.

  • 6. Limitations and Exclusions

  • Typical manufacturer warranty exclusions may include

  • improper installation or unapproved installation methods

  • moisture damage or water related issues

  • damage from pets, children or furniture

  • discoloration from sunlight or chemicals

  • damage caused by cleaning products not recommended by the manufacturer

  • misuse or failure to follow maintenance guidelines

  • Always review your specific product warranty for details.

  • 7. No Warranty on Estimated Savings

  • Any examples of potential savings, price comparisons or insider pricing differences are for educational purposes only. They are not guarantees. Actual savings vary by product, brand, availability, project scope and vendor participation.

  • 8. Contact for Warranty Support
