Is HIBC Silver Worth It for Your Floor? Compare the Complete Quotes
A complete quote helps you give the flooring you love a fair comparison. With the same products, quantities and services in view, you can see how HIBC Silver fits the rooms you want to create and the budget you have in mind.
Silver costs $995 for initial flooring-only membership. HIBC adds no product markup. Flooring materials, delivery, installation and other project charges are purchased separately. Include those details in the comparison from the beginning.
Start with one written project description
Give each provider the same rooms, product specifications and measurement information. When possible, compare the exact product, finish, format and quantity. Record the unit of measure, converting carton and square-foot pricing to the same basis where needed.
If the products differ, consider them as two design choices. Ask what changes in appearance, construction, warranty or suitability, and decide what those differences mean for your home. Keep product preferences visible alongside the price.
Have final quantities verified by the responsible provider before ordering. Ask how the allowance for cuts and extra material was determined, and make sure each proposal explains its own quantity.
Put every relevant cost in view
Use a comparison sheet with one column for each proposal. Mark any amount awaiting an answer as “to confirm.”
| Cost or decision | What to record |
|---|---|
| Membership | The $995 initial Silver fee when evaluating joining |
| Flooring | Exact product, quantity, unit price and total |
| Supporting materials | Quoted underlayment, adhesive, trim and transitions |
| Site work | Removal, preparation and disposal where relevant |
| Delivery | Freight, destination, handling and any quoted access charges |
| Installation | Written labor scope and exclusions |
| Other charges | Applicable taxes and any separately quoted services |
| Open items | Allowances, unpriced work and who will resolve them |
Tailor the sheet to your rooms, including the work and services your project needs.
Ask what the installation number includes
One proposal may include preparation and trim while another covers only laying the flooring. Request a written description of the work each installer will perform.
Clarify furniture moving, removal of existing flooring, work around stairs and doorways, and cleanup where those affect your rooms. Ask how unexpected conditions will be documented, priced and approved.
List the product supplier and independent installer beside their respective work. Each provides a separate product or service, with its own scope and price.
Calculate the difference after the scope matches
For a prospective member, add the initial $995 Silver fee to the complete project costs available through membership. Compare that amount with the equivalent alternative total.
The difference reflects your particular products and project. Savings vary, so use the current written quotes to decide whether membership offers value for the work you are planning.
If you already paid for Silver, look at both the value of your next purchase and your membership experience overall. Count the original fee once when reviewing total membership value; assess each additional flooring purchase using its own complete costs.
The optional $95 annual renewal belongs in a future comparison only if you choose to purchase it for that period. It is separate from initial enrollment and creates no automatic annual charge.
Resolve the largest uncertainty before committing
Circle the unknown amount or specification most likely to change your decision. Ask the responsible provider for a written answer. Also confirm current availability, quote validity, order changes and the seller’s cancellation or return terms.
Bring your comparison to Silver support. We can help clarify the membership side and the next question for your supplier or installer. Include the product, quantity and quoted inclusions.
If you joined and are dissatisfied, the initial membership may be refunded in full when requested within 30 days of joining and no orders have been placed. Product orders and optional renewals have their own terms.
