From preference to specification
Consider a quiet slab front, a Shaker profile or a more detailed door. Compare proportions across the room, including tall cabinets and island panels. The cabinet door style guide helps narrow the conversation.
Discuss compatible choices within the proposed cabinet line. Review actual samples with your countertop and flooring before final approval. Ask the showroom to confirm the exact combination and current availability.

A mailing city does not settle permitting jurisdiction. Confirm which office serves your property and describe the whole scope, including changes behind the cabinets. Agree with your contractor who obtains required permits and arranges inspections.
The City lists cabinet installation among work that does not need a building permit. Moving walls, altering hard-wired electrical systems or relocating plumbing can require permits. Review the whole project before treating it as exempt.
