Make one schedule for fronts and hardware
When Tulsa cabinet drawings change, the pull choice can be left in a separate sample email. Bring it into a hardware schedule tied to the current order. Give each door or drawer group a location name, then record the exact handle or pull code, selected finish and quantity.
The Tulsa drawing-revision guide explains how to keep the room documents coordinated. Add the hardware schedule to that same revision. A photograph communicates style, but the preparation decision needs an identified product and the provider's accepted mounting detail.
Have the provider confirm the mounting information
Ask for the official product drawing for each selected size. Have the responsible supplier or installer confirm the mounting specification, suitable fasteners and placement for the actual front construction. Do not treat an advertised overall pull length as the measurement needed for the mounting holes.
KraftMaid's product specification resources illustrate why the offered cabinet model needs its own documentation. The chosen hardware also needs its exact instructions. This buying worksheet does not prescribe drilling positions, screw lengths or a generic fitting method.
Separate sample approval from permission to prepare
Record what you have approved: appearance, hardware selection, provider-confirmed placement or preparation of the actual fronts. Ask who drills the fronts and at what point the supplier considers that instruction final. If work depends on receiving the hardware, identify who confirms it has arrived and matches the selected code.
Request a revised schedule before changing a pull after approval. Have the provider explain the available options, effect on already prepared fronts and any additional cost before accepting the change. Do not assume that a different-looking pull will cover existing work or use the same mounting pattern.
| Decision item | Write down before choosing |
|---|---|
| Front group | Door or drawer locations on the current drawing. |
| Selected pull | Exact code, finish, size option and quantity. |
| Documentation | Official hardware drawing and cabinet-front reference. |
| Preparation | Provider-confirmed detail and named drilling responsibility. |
| Release | What is approved, revision date and outstanding hold. |
Worked example: the wide drawer gets a different pull
Suppose the doors use one selected pull while a wide drawer is assigned a longer option in the same collection. The sample board still labels both simply as brushed metal. Give the wide drawer its own schedule line and attach the exact document for that size.
Ask the installer to confirm the relevant mounting detail before preparation. If the longer option is unavailable, leave that line unresolved while you compare supported replacements. Keeping the door selection does not authorize drilling the drawer from the door's hardware information. Update the schedule and affected quantities when the replacement is accepted.
Questions to settle before ordering
Is a finish and collection name enough to order pulls?
Include the exact product code and selected size for every front group, plus quantities. Similar-looking options can require separate mounting information.
What should I send for an initial review?
Bring the current cabinet drawing, hardware links or codes and a list of undecided front groups. Leave private contact details in the existing intake form rather than a public worksheet.
