Philadelphia Cabinet Delivery: Access, Curb Space and Receiving Checklist
A street address alone does not describe a delivery. Record the packed dimensions, access route and receiving conditions with the actual provider. Use this checklist to identify missing information and prepare questions; only the delivery team can confirm the full route and handling plan.
Your decision: Can the delivery team use the proposed route, and who owns the receiving handoff?

Your project location
Local planning notes
Census metropolitan area, not city limits or a HIBC service territory. Project jurisdiction depends on the property address.
Philadelphia Street Closures: residential moving versus construction use
Philadelphia separates residential-moving parking requests from commercial or construction street-closure requests.
Your next question: Before the carrier books a cabinet delivery, establish the truck length, stopping location, unloading duration and responsible permit applicant. Ask Streets which route applies; do not assume a residential moving permit covers construction delivery.

Philadelphia kitchen-planning guide
Measure the path, not only the kitchen
Ask for the packed dimensions and weight of the items that create the tightest access problem. Record the clear opening along the route, stairs, landings, turns, elevator conditions and any building reservation. Door size on a drawing can differ from the opening available with trim, hardware or an obstructing door.
Keep your measurements as preliminary until the delivery/installation team confirms them. Straight width comparison cannot prove that an item will turn, tilt or move safely. Ask for a route plan or an alternative delivery scope when any detail is uncertain.
Put unloading and receiving in writing
Confirm whether the quote covers curbside, threshold, room delivery or another named service. Ask who unloads, who needs to be present, what equipment is used and how access changes affect charges. Do not assume that a freight quote includes carrying items upstairs or assembling them.
Ask the provider for its actual receiving, damage and shortage instructions and deadlines. Record who inspects, retains packaging when required and contacts the provider. This page does not create claim deadlines or change the provider’s terms.
Prepare the room and the fallback
Agree on protected storage, environmental conditions and installation readiness using the product/provider instructions. Identify who moves a package from storage to the room. Ask what happens if the building denies access or the route is not usable on delivery day.
Keep date coordination separate from availability. A planning date is not a confirmed delivery appointment. Carry access and receiving responsibilities into the order-milestones worksheet so they are resolved before the delivery is relied upon.
Access measurements and receiving brief
Record packed dimensions and clear openings in inches, then get the delivery team’s full route confirmation. Turns, height, weight and handling must also be reviewed; a width comparison alone does not prove fit.
Print this list or copy the questions into your own private planning notes. No completed worksheet or consultation is required to request a review or explore membership.
Widest packed item at the proposed orientation (inches)
Use the provider’s packed dimension, not the nominal cabinet width.

An initial review request does not enroll you, issue a visitor pass or confirm an appointment. HIBC first confirms the independent local account, designer availability and any no-charge design scope. Membership is a separate choice; a consultation or worksheet is optional.
Compare complete project costs, including any membership, product and service charges. Review the current offer and agreement before deciding whether to join. Your existing membership rights are not changed by this planning page.
