The largest cabinet or appliance must reach the kitchen before it can improve it. Start online with HIBC to review your Buffalo-area project, clarify product and access questions, and explore confidential wholesale quotes through a free initial review.

Include the delivery route in the project brief

Photograph the intended entrance, narrow turns, stairs and door openings along the route to the kitchen. Ask the delivery and installation teams what measurements they need for the selected products. Do not assume a large pantry unit can be moved through the same route as smaller base cabinets.

Record appliance model numbers and door-opening requirements. If a doorway or wall opening may change, keep that construction option distinct from simply choosing a smaller product. Assign responsibility for protecting existing finishes and handling packaging before the delivery is scheduled.

Distinguish minor repairs from changes to systems

Buffalo’s building-permit guidance lists limited finish-work and repair exceptions, but it excludes repairs that affect structural components, required egress or building systems from the repair exemption. Use the whole proposed scope when asking the department whether permits are needed.

For an access change, explain whether an opening, wall, wiring or plumbing will be altered. A Buffalo market label does not place a Cheektowaga or other surrounding property under city administration. Confirm the correct authority and required documentation before work begins.

Account for access and receiving in the total

Match cabinet sizes, construction, finishes and accessories first. Then ask what the delivery price covers: its destination, unloading, carrying products inside and any agreed access-related work. Confirm who inspects the shipment and follows the written damage-reporting process.

Add installation, removal, surface repairs, countertop work and applicable taxes, plus membership for the comparison period. A curbside delivery quote and an in-room delivery quote are not the same service. Keep differences visible instead of assuming a lower product total includes every step to a usable kitchen.

Explore materials in person

Ask HIBC about showroom options near your project in Buffalo area. Share your city, state and product interests so visit arrangements and availability can be confirmed separately. Our service begins online.

Should I measure the access route myself?

Photos and approximate dimensions are useful for the review. The delivery and installation professionals must confirm the route and handling requirements for the actual products before an order or delivery plan is finalized.
